Noura Mint Seymali has traveled a great distance to get to Baltimore from her homeland of Mauritania. She has come for a good reason, to educate Baltimore students about the blending of traditional and popular West African music and culture. Noura and her band stopped by WTMD ahead of her performance Friday night at the Creative Alliance, to talk about their music with Amy Freedman — and to play some incredible songs as well.
