On Monday, Ghost-Note is at the Creative Alliance. Tuesday is Tuareg guitarist Bombino. Thursday: Kinky Friedman and Dale Watson. Friday and Saturday is the first Baltimore Old-Time Music Festival with The Local Honeys, Ken & Brad Kolodner, Corn Potato String Band, Molsky’s Mountain Drifters, Bill Schmidt & Ann Porcella, banjo showcase, square dance, and more. The Baltimore Folk Music Society sponsors English Country Dance every Monday at Church of the Nativity and Holy Comforter on York Road and American Contra and Square Dancing every Wednesday at the Lovely Lane Church on St. Paul Street. Tuesday is the BFMS Song Swap at Church of the Nativity and Holy Comforter. WTMD Film Series continues with the documentary “Waiting: The Van Duren Story” sets out to discover why Van Duren isn’t a household name on Wednesday in WTMD’s performance space in Towson. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 8. The film is free and so is the popcorn.
