The Baltimore Folk Music Society sponsors English Country Dance every Monday at St. Mark’s on the Hill on Reisterstown Road and American Contra and Square Dancing every Wednesday at the Lovely Lane Church on St. Paul Street. There is also a Family Dance on Saturday at 5pm at St. Mark’s on the Hill followed by the Second Saturday Square and Contra Dance at 8pm. 888.646.BFMS

The American Folklife Center presents “The Orthodox Paschal Cycle: Georgian Liturgical Polyphony, Folksongs and Instrumentals” with The Anchiskhati Ensemble from Tbilisi, Georgia at the Whittall Pavilion of the Library of Congress on Thursday at noon.

Mr. Sun with Darol Anger plus The High and Wides are at the Creative Alliance on Thursday. Friday is Maryland Guitar Night with Susan Alcon (pedal steel), Michael Raitzyk (jazz), Tom Rhodes & Pablo Regis de Olivera (Brazilian guitar, cavaquinho), Eleanor Ellis and Phil Wiggins (Piedmont blues guitar, harmonica).
