The American Folklife Center presents a film on Peruvian marinera dance, often called “the national dance of Peru” on Monday at noon at the Coolidge Auditorium of the Library of Congress. On Tuesday at noon, Marinera Viva!!! performs Peruvian dance.

Common Ground on the Hill‘s Traditions Week I of concerts and workshops runs today through Friday at McDaniel College in Westminster. Week II starts next Sunday and runs through July 10th. Instructors include Ramzi Aburedwan from Palestine, Russ Barenburg, Bryan Bowers, Robin Bullock, Guy Davis, the duo FUNI from Iceland, Ken & Brad Kolodner, Claire Lynch, Bruce Molsky, Mollie O’Brien & Rich Moore, Tony Trischka and many more.
