The photo at the end of the playlist featuring Mongolian instrument the Yatga splayed across the album cover of Chinbat Baasankhuu (who looks like a middle schooler in traditional Mongolian parochial school uniform with a Slip Mahoney Bowery Boys cap) suggests one of the weirder woodsy wondrously bridged string instruments to cross David Lindlay’s lap. Will there be a trio album forthcoming featuring Chinbat on Yatga (which I think Latka once played when courting and serenading Simka on Taxi circa late 70’s) flanked by Lindlay and Henry Kaiser? Or a quartet with Fred Frith, or quintet with Hossam Ramzy? Love, Loaf, Larf, Live in Ulan Battur!
