    DETOUR has played many Irish, English, Scots and Welsh songs challenging the unfortunate Thatcher doctrine of TINA – “There is no alternative” in one way or another and you are to be especially commended for airing an Arabic artist working in the Palestinian folk arts that so movingly illustrates the lie in that Thatcher line of bad government. THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE; swap TINA for AMAL (Hope in Arabic).
